Christmas Party 2024 (Hekisui Group Home for Dementia Elderly) - A time filled with smiles and a warm, peaceful atmosphere.

The "Christmas Party 2024" was held at Hekisui, a group home for elderly people with dementia (Respect NPO, Chairman: Masahito Fujii) from 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 25th.

There was a wide variety of entertainment, including a skit called "The Giant Turnip" performed by staff and residents, a wonderful song by a super folk singer from Chishibetsu Town, and a magnificent dance performance by Chishibetsu Town's hula dance group, "Pilinaluafula Lokelanichippubetsu (Representative: Tomura Chiyomi)."

Approximately 17 users participated and enjoyed a fun and enjoyable Christmas time.

"We don't usually have many opportunities to meet, but the facility directors of Buildings A and B are here, so please feel free to let them know if you have any problems.

Maybe it's because I'm getting older, but lately the years seem to go by so quickly. From now on, there will be a series of events at the end of the year and into the New Year.

"Although the coronavirus and influenza are currently going around, I hope you will enjoy today's Christmas party to the fullest. I hope you will eat a lot and stay healthy. Thank you for your cooperation today," said Chairman Fujii.

Skit "The Giant Turnip"

One day, the old man planted turnip seeds in his field.
Grandpa: "It will grow into a sweet, big, delicious turnip."
The turnips were carefully cared for and nurtured every day, and they grew big and beautiful.

Grandpa: "Today is Christmas. Shall I make this turnip into pickles?"

The old man tries to pull out the turnip.
"Here we go, here we go," the turnip said, not budging.
"Grandma," the grandfather called to the grandmother.
"Can you help me?"
"Go ahead, go ahead," but the turnip won't come out.

The grandfather called Santa Claus.
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The grandfather called out, "Chiyoko-san."
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The old man called the reindeer.
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The grandfather called out, "Mitsuo-san."
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The grandfather called out, "Kiriko-san."
"Kiriko-san, do your best! Come on over!"
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The grandfather called out, "Yohko-san."
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The grandfather called Chairman Fujii.
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The old man called out, "Mie-san."
"Pull it up, pull it out," but the turnip still wouldn't come out.

The grandfather called out, "Toshie-san."
"There you go! Pull it out, pull it out!" The big turnip was finally pulled out.

We made the large turnips into pickles and enjoyed eating them together.

After this, everyone was given a delicious pickled turnip as a gift.

Hula dance group "Pilinalua Hula Lokelanichippubetsu" from Chipubetsu Town

"I hope you can experience the everlasting summer atmosphere," said representative Chiyomi Tomura in her opening remarks. The group consists of eight adults and four children, and has been active for about 10 years.

The graceful dance of hula and its soothing melodies will carry the breeze and scents of Hawaii with you.

2. Collaboration with Misora Hibari on "Ai San San"

The super folk singer's singing and hula dancing combine to create a wonderful harmony.

3. "Kuʻu Leo Aloha"

A song praising the hula dancers who dance beautifully to the accompaniment of the vocals.

"Ku Leo Aloha" means "Voice of Love" and is a love song between a musician and a hula dancer.

I am enchanted by the gentle, tender singing voice.

Everyone together!

A song that will brighten up Japan! Let's all get excited!

3. Kiyoshi Hikawa's "Zundoko Bushi"

This song is the theme song for the Aomizu Group Home "Respect"!
Everyone had fun waving their handmade sparkly batons along to the music!

Christmas melody.

Back-up dancers appear!

"Today was the best Christmas party ever!
"Please give a big round of applause to the folk singer and hula dancers! Thank you very much!" said facility director Domae Satoshi.

It was a joyful Christmas filled with kindness, as the staff cared for and gently supported the residents!

With boundless love, gratitude, and prayers, we held a Christmas party at the wonderful group home, Hekisui "Respect," where smiles abound and everyone can share in a peaceful, heartwarming atmosphere and joy.
