Botamochi, eaten on the Vernal Equinox (Ohigan)

Botamochi is a type of rice cake eaten during the spring equinox. I made it with homemade red bean paste, Kurosengoku soybean flour, and matcha.

Kurosengoku Kinako Botamochi

The botamochi, generously sprinkled with Kurosengoku kinako, has the unique sweetness and aroma of Kurosengoku kinako and is absolutely delicious!

The great botamochi effect: exorcise evil spirits with red beans, purify with matcha, and absorb vitality with Kurosengoku kinako!

A blissful moment as you light osmanthus incense, relax, and enjoy delicious botamochi!
