"Weeding and Thinning Work at Sunflower Village" by Hokuryu Town Residents 2023 With Deep Love and Sincerity

On Wednesday, June 21st, the summer solstice, Hokuryu town residents mowed and thinned the sunflowers at Himawari no Sato.

Residents of Hokuryu Town participated over three days

This work will be carried out over three days, on Wednesday, June 21st, Thursday, June 22nd, and Friday, June 23rd, for two hours each in the morning and afternoon (9:30-11:30, 13:30-15:30).

About 40 people participated in the morning of the first day, including volunteers from Hokuryu Town's neighborhood associations and senior citizens' clubs.

As the great rays of the summer solstice sun pour down, the residents of Hokuryu Town mow and thin out the weeds, carrying out their work with deep love and sincerity for the adorable sunflowers that are growing healthily.
