The 35th Yukinko Festival was held at the special venue in front of Hokuryu Town Community Center from 1pm on Wednesday, February 23rd. There were lots of fun events, including Yukinko Festival games (treasure hunt, candy distribution), banana board pulling on snowmobiles, and snow mountain slides!
About 100 parents and children participated in the event, despite the heavy snowfall. They had a great time playing in the snow, throwing snow and getting buried in it.

Countermeasures for COVID-19 infection
As a measure against COVID-19, the event was limited to Hokuryu town residents. Social distancing was implemented at the venue, and attendees were required to wear masks. Participants were also required to submit their participation certificates (with temperature checks) and disinfect their hands at the reception.

"Hello everyone! The weather is perfect today!
"Where?!" the children exclaimed with laughter!

Now, the long-awaited banana board pulling has finally begun!
Cool snowmobiles appear one after another
People line up in long queues and wait anxiously! And then they try again and again!
The snowy field is so white with the blizzard that you can't see in front of you!
The kids had a blast riding the thrilling snowmobiles!
