This homemade botamochi is made by cooking rice cake in a rice cooker, mashing it, rolling it into balls, and wrapping it in homemade Kurosengoku bean paste made by slowly and carefully simmering Kurosengoku soybeans until they are soft.
The Kurosengoku bean paste is sprinkled with Kurosengoku kinako, and the Sakura bean paste is topped with desalted cherry blossoms!
