Hokuryu Town Sunflower Tourism Association Terms and Conditions
(Name and office)
Article 1 This tourism association shall be called the Hokuryu Town Sunflower Tourism Association (hereinafter referred to as "this association") and its office shall be located within the Hokuryu Town Hall.

Article 2 The purpose of the Association is to promote the healthy development and advancement of tourism in Hokuryu Town, with a focus on Himawari, and to contribute to the development of the town's industrial economy.
(business)
Article 3: In order to achieve the objectives set out in Article 2, the Association will carry out the following activities:
1. Tourism promotion and tourist attraction promotion
2. Protection and development of tourism resources
3. Promoting the development of tourist facilities
4. Promoting environmental beautification activities
5. Tourism research
6. Planning and promotion of tourism businesses
7. Cooperation with tourism organizations in Hokkaido
8. Other activities necessary to achieve the Society's objectives
(member)
Article 4 Members of this Association shall be special members of the Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative Hokuryu Branch, Hokuryu Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hokuryu Land Improvement District, Himawari no Sato Shop Association, Hokuryu Town Construction Industry Association, and Ryutopia Association, as well as general members from organizations and businesses that support the purpose of this Association.
2. Supporting members of the Association shall be individuals who agree with the aims of the Association.

Article 5 The Association shall have the following officers:
1. Chairman (1 person)
2. Two Vice-Presidents
3. 9 directors
4. 2 auditors
(Appointment of officers)
Article 6 Officers shall be elected from among the members at the general meeting.
2. Of those appointed pursuant to the preceding paragraph, those who were appointed while holding the position in question shall be deemed to have retired from their position as officers of the Association when they relinquish that position, and the successor to that position shall be deemed to have been appointed as an officer of the Association.
(Term of office of officers)
Article 7: The term of office for officers shall be two years. However, reappointment is permitted.
2 The term of office of an officer appointed as a substitute shall be the remaining term of his/her predecessor.
3. Even if the term of office of an officer expires, he/she shall continue to perform his/her duties until his/her successor takes office.
(Duty)
Article 8 The Chairman shall represent the Association, manage its affairs, and chair meetings.
2 The Vice-Chairmen shall assist the Chairmen and, in the event of an accident or absence of the Chairmen, shall perform the duties of the Chairmen in accordance with the order of precedence determined in advance by the Chairmen.
3. The Directors shall deliberate and promote the activities of the Association.
4. The Auditors shall audit the operations and accounts of the Association.
(Advisor)
Article 9 The Association may appoint a number of advisors.
2. Advisors shall be appointed by the Chairman following a resolution of the Board of Directors.
3. Advisors may participate in important meetings of the Association and express their opinions.
(meeting)
Article 10: The meetings of the Association shall consist of the general meeting, the executive committee, and the steering committee.
2. An ordinary general meeting shall be held once a year after the end of the business year, and an extraordinary general meeting shall be held whenever the chairman deems it necessary.
3. The Executive Committee shall be convened by the Chairman whenever necessary.
4. The Executive Committee shall be convened by the Secretary General whenever necessary.
(Matters to be resolved at the general meeting)
Article 11 The following matters shall be discussed and decided at the general meeting:
1. Business plan and income/expenditure budget
2. Business report and income and expenditure report
3. Changes to the Terms
4. Matters concerning the collection of membership fees
5. In addition to the preceding paragraph, any other important matters deemed necessary
(Resolution)
Article 12: Resolutions at the general meeting shall be made by a majority of the members present, and in the event of a tie, the chairperson shall have the deciding vote.
(Secretariat and staff)
Article 13 The Association shall have a secretariat.
2 The Secretariat shall have the following staff members appointed by the Chairman:
1. 1 executive director
2. 1 Deputy Secretary General
3. Several secretaries
4. Some secretariat staff
(Monthly Committee)
Article 14 The Secretariat shall establish the following specialized committees:
1. Business Division
2. Public Relations and Advertising Committee
2. Each specialist committee shall have a director and deputy director, who shall be elected by the secretaries.
3. The responsibilities of the Specialist Committees shall be as follows:
(1) The Business Committee shall be responsible for the following matters:
① Matters related to planning and promoting the Sunflower Festival
② Other matters related to the planning and promotion of tourism businesses
③ Matters related to research and study of the tourism industry
(2) The Advertising and Communications Subcommittee shall be responsible for the following matters:
① Matters related to tourism promotion and tourist attraction
② Matters related to research and study of tourism resources
(Fiscal year)
Article 15 The fiscal year of the Association shall run from April 1st of each year to March 31st of the following year.
(Payment of expenses)
Article 16: The expenses of the Association shall be covered by membership fees, subsidies, donations, etc.
Article 17. When an employee travels for business purposes, travel expenses shall be paid in compensation for the expenses incurred in the course of business.
Article 18: Any necessary matters other than those set forth in these regulations shall be determined by the Chairman after a resolution by the Board of Directors.
Supplementary Provisions
These regulations shall come into effect on April 16, 2007.
