Pray for good health with the "Ehomaki" from Restaurant Himawari!

Sunday, February 4th is "Risshun," which marks the beginning of spring and the start of the year according to the 24 solar terms!

On Setsubun, the day before the beginning of spring, I had Ehomaki (a type of ehomaki roll) from Himawari Restaurant. The direction in which Toshitokujin, the god who governs the year's good fortune, is located is called Eho. This year's Eho is east-northeast.

On Setsubun, people throw beans to ward off evil spirits, then face northeast, the lucky direction, and silently take a bite of an ehomaki!

Eating sushi rolls that bring good fortune, people pray for good health.

This year's "Ehomaki" from Restaurant Himawari is "Meat Roll," "Seafood Roll," and "Three Types of Thin Roll." Thank you for delivering it!

• Seafood roll:Seven varieties named after the Seven Lucky Gods: tuna, salmon, shrimp, crab, scallop, squid, and flying fish roe

As we welcome the new year, marked by the beginning of spring, we offer our heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to enjoy the deliciousness of this exquisite ehomaki, with the hope of warding off evil spirits, inviting good fortune, and praying for good health and freedom from illness.
