"Hokuryu Town Community Supporter Activities" Project Report
 Supporting Hokuryu Town by disseminating information to ensure that its residents remain vibrant and thriving

We would like to report on the activities of the village support staff in fiscal year 2019 (April 1, 2019 - March 31, 2020) as follows.

1. The goal of "Community Support through Information Dissemination"

We will support Hokuryu Town in "continuing to be a town where residents are vibrant and thriving" by disseminating information.

(1) The townspeople realize the beauty of things they once took for granted.
(2) The townspeople who receive the information will empathize, be moved, and be activated.
(3) Recording the "value of life" of Hokuryu town residents and passing it on to the next generation
(4) The vitality of Hokuryu Town will spread throughout Japan, making Japan brighter and more energetic.

2. Perspective of the activity

(1) Keeping an eye on, patrolling, and understanding the situation throughout the town
(2) Sharing information through easy-to-understand text and photos that allow townspeople to understand and inspect the situation. We are also considering connecting the feelings of parents who remain in town with their children who are active outside the town.
(3) "Exchanging information about the town situation" with the mayor, deputy mayor, and town hall staff
(4) Support for town revitalization activities

3. Activity report

(1) Keeping an eye on things, patrolling, understanding the situation, and sharing information via the internet

In 2019, information will be disseminated through three websites: "Hokuryu Town Portal," "Facebook Page: Hokuryu Town Treasures," and "Hokkaido Shimbun Blog (the blog will close in June)."

(4) Coverage assistance for the general meeting of the Kita Sorachi Youth Association Alumni Association and the celebration of the publication of Junkichi Kono’s book “Living in Fukagawa”
(5) Hokuryu Town is a vibrant and wonderful town. Cooperation in reporting on the history of the Hokuryu Town Sports Association.
(6) Coverage of the activities of the Hekisui Mini Volleyball Club, where smiles and laughter resonate
(7) Cooperation in announcing opening information for Hokuryu Town Agricultural and Livestock Products Direct Sales Store and Minoritch Hokuryu
(8) Planning and Promotion Division: Assisting in the collection and publication of photos for "The Colorful Hokuryu and Smiles"
(9) Cooperation in the operation of the Hokusho Road Race Tournament introduction page, public relations and reception system
(10) We are currently providing financial information on the Hokuryu Town Social Welfare Council website as an alternative site.
(11) Hometown tax donations, messages of support, and posts on the Hokuryu Town Portal

・The number of visitors from overseas in 2019 was 8,430. Many of the visitors were from Hong Kong and the United States.

・Slightly less than 60% of the total are between the ages of 25 and 44. The ratio of men to women is roughly equal.

・69% of all visits come from search engines. Direct visits from bookmarks etc. account for 24%.

・46% of the most popular sections (directory) on the Hokuryu Town Portal are related to sunflowers (flowering status, programs, introduction to the village, access, nearby restaurants), while 23% are feature articles and Sunflower Park Hokuryu Onsen.

(8) Hokuryu Town Portal Visit Device

・65% of visitors to the Hokuryu Town Portal use mobile devices such as smartphones, while just under 30% use desktops.
The usage rate of mobile devices has increased by about 5% compared to last year, and the shift from desktop to mobile is progressing.

5. Status of inquiries from outside

・For inquiries to the Hokuryu Town Portal, the initial response (confirmation of receipt) will be sent to the individual by email from the portal administrator.
・The portal administrator will forward the question email to the relevant department of each organization in the town.
・The second response (answer) will be sent to the individual directly by email from the relevant department (with the portal administrator as cc).

6. Activity Expense Settlement

・As a Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications village supporter, the national government will grant the town 3.5 million yen per person as a special grant for activity expenses (Reference page)。

The total cost of the two participants is 7 million yen, which covers remuneration, social insurance, travel expenses, and grants.

The selection of interview locations was decided by Terauchi Noboru and Ikuko based on the theme.
(Business trips are conducted only after obtaining prior approval from the town regarding the purpose and schedule.)

・Utility expenses: Use your home as an office
- Two personal computers, one external hard disk (6 terabytes) for storing photos: Personally owned
・Camera, recording medium (SD card): Use personal belongings
・Printer and copy machine: Use your own
・Internet provider costs: Personal use
・Mobile phone charges: Use personal property
