The projection mapping video was produced by 10 students from the Department of Media Studies at Hokkaido Information University's Faculty of Information and Media Studies (Ebetsu City) under the guidance of Associate Professor Oshima Keitaro and Associate Professor Kawahara Dai.

In addition to a series of approximately 10-minute videos being projected onto the walls of the Sunflower Park Hotel, this year a series of three-minute videos will be projected repeatedly onto Hokuryumon Gate.

The video content is tailored to the architectural structure of Sunflower Park Hokuryu Onsen, such as the window frames on the exterior walls, and features realistic images that express the essence of Hokuryu Town, such as sunflowers, dragons, and drone shots of Sunflower Village.

"This year, students worked on projection mapping again.

The highlight of this year's event is the projection mapping that will be projected onto Hokuryumon Gate for the first time. Visitors arriving by car will be able to enter the event by passing under the projection mapping.

The design was also tailored to fit perfectly into the architectural structure of the Sunflower Park Hotel's exterior walls, allowing the images to unfold in an interesting way on the window frames and the boundaries between the wall and window frames.

"It's being developed in a completely different way than before. I hope you enjoy it, so please look forward to it," said Professor Oshima.

"I created this to draw people's attention to the gate of Hokuryu Town. After that, in reference to Hokuryu Town, the video features images of sunflowers and the abstract word "Hokuryu Town." I tried to create a video that would draw people's attention as an entrance.

The production time, including testing, took about a month. We created it while receiving various opinions from everyone.

"From now on, I would like to try to create videos that are slightly different every year, so that I can grow as a person and also create videos that can be enjoyed by visitors. I will continue to work hard," said the student enthusiastically.
