Mayor Sasaki Yasuhiro's August inspection of Hokuryu Town took place on Wednesday, August 7th from 3:00 p.m.
This month's visit is "Sunflower Village"
The conversation was lively and covered a variety of topics, including filming a video message of support for Sunflower Watermelon, tourists they met at Himawari no Sato, residents of Eirakuen Special Nursing Home while on a walk, and chatting with the people at Eirakuen inside the Sunflower Tourist Center.

After filming a video message at the observation deck of the Jumbo Maze, we challenged families, young couples, and groups of young women who happened to be passing by to try some sunflower watermelon!

On the way to the Himawari Tourist Center
On the way to the Himawari Tourist Center, we met some local residents. We chatted with a smiling elderly person who was a user of Eirakuen and had just celebrated turning 100!
Inside the Sunflower Tourist Center, we had a friendly chat with the residents of Eirakuen who had come to take a walk in the sunflower village!
A conversation with Kita Kiyoyoshihaji (former Superintendent of Education) (including measures to accommodate the elderly and physically disabled at Himawari no Sato).
