The third generation of pineapples grown at a resident's home in Hokuryu Town!

Tuesday, August 4, 2020

The third generation pineapple at the home of Takao Yamada (80 years old) in Hokuryu Town has produced beautiful fruit.

The first pineapple I bought at the store was delicious. I put the stem of the pineapple in water, and when the white roots started to grow, I planted it in soil. It took three years for it to bear fruit.

After enjoying the second pineapple, the stem was placed in water again. Three years later, the third pineapple was ripe enough to eat. What a precious pineapple!!!

With boundless love, gratitude, and smiles, we offer these happy pineapples, grown with lots of love.

Doesn't it look similar to the Okinawan snack pineapple that you can tear apart and eat with your hands?

Perhaps, "Snack pineapple???"
