The 36th Yukinko Festival 2023 (in front of Hokuryu Town Community Center) Let's all have fun playing in the snow!

The 36th Annual Yukinko Festival was held at the special venue in front of the Hokuryu Town Community Center from 1:00 PM on Thursday, February 23rd. Despite the heavy snowfall, about 120 families participated and everyone had a great time playing in the snow.

On the snow-covered mountain wall next to the reception entrance, a painting of "Agri Fighter North Dragon" created by Sergeant Hoshino Yuki of the Hekisui Police Station welcomes children!

Members of the Hokuryu Town Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Division who worked hard in planning and running the event
 
There will be lots of fun events, such as Yukinko Festival Games (treasure hunt, candy distribution), and banana board pulling on snowmobiles!

The snow mountain slide where you can slide down on snow tubes was made by the young men who work in the snow removal division. There is also a small snow slide for little children!

This year, a Neapolitan pizza food truck called "Biancaneve" will be appearing in the community center parking lot!

"Thank you so much for coming out in such large numbers today for the Yukinko Festival! The Yukinko Festival is run by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Youth Division, and all the guys worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time.

The North Dragon painting on the snow wall near the entrance to the reception area was made by a police officer from the Hekisui Police Station. This slide was made by the guys who always clear the snow.

"We worked hard for everyone. From now on, it's up to you children. Play hard and with all your might, and enjoy the day!" said Director Fujita in his greeting.

"Yes!" the children's cheerful voices echoed!!!

Yukinko Festival Game: Treasure Hunt Game

Plastic balls containing number cards are scattered across the pure white snow field.

At the start signal, run through the fresh snow towards the ball and dive for it! Catch the ball!

"Go and get the ball that was thrown into the snowy field and bring it back here. If you win, leave it as it is, but if you lose, go and look for it again. Everyone, keep trying until you win!" said Director Fujita!

Snowy mountain slide

On the giant snow mountain slide, children ride large snow tubes. The slide is unexpectedly fast, and the children scream with excitement, "Aaaah! It's scary!"
