Shinryu Shrine "Dontoyaki" - Pray to the sacred flames that burn brightly for good health and safety throughout the year

Tuesday, January 10, 2023

The Dontoyaki festival was held at Shinryu Shrine from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, January 9th.

Dontoyaki, a traditional event held on the first day of the new year, is a solemn Shinto ritual to send off the New Year's deity, and prayers are made to the sacred flames that burn brightly for good health and safety throughout the year.

We hope for the end of the epidemic that has continued for three years and for it to end as soon as possible, and we sincerely pray that the door to a brighter world will open!
