[370] Takao Yamada's handmade offering box

Friday, February 28, 2020

To commemorate our 10th anniversary of relocating to Japan, we held a lecture at Himawari University entitled "In Gratitude for Our 10th Anniversary - Lecturer Noboru Terauchi," and to commemorate this, Mr. Takao Yamada presented us with a wonderful handmade offering box. We are deeply touched by this heartfelt gift. Thank you very much.

The letters are made by layering paint to create a raised look. I was impressed by the intricate and careful handwork that went into every detail!!! The design features Himawari Saki-chan, the Hokuryu Town emblem, and the brightly colored letters.

This mini offering box is also a piggy bank. It can be offered at the Buddhist altar, and every morning when you visit the altar, you can put in 10 yen to commemorate the 10th anniversary and show your gratitude.
