On Sunday, August 18th, the final day of the Sunflower Festival, a Bon Odori dance festival and a fireworks display were held as the finale. The 61st Hokuryu Commercial High School Road Race was held on Sunday, August 17th! Starting at Himawari no Sato, the race allowed participants to view the sunflowers along the course. On Friday, August 29, 2025, the NHK Hokkaido WEB, an internet site operated by NHK (Tokyo), posted an article titled "A gust of wind may have occurred in Hokuryu Town on the 26th, destroying two huts. The meteorological observatory is conducting an on-site investigation."

On August 22 (Fri), a town development discussion meeting was held at the Mibaushi Community Center, with approximately 20 town residents participating. The meeting included explanations of the fiscal year 2025 policies and Regional Revitalization 2.0, as well as topics on agriculture, education, living environment, and more.
