Farmers' Action Organization "Multifunctionality Payment" (Himawari Road)

Initially, sunflowers were planted on 1.4km of farmland, 20m wide and 1.4km long, from the Wa district to Wa city and from Sunflower Park to Hekisui city, as a tourist landscape crop, with subsidies from the town. Later, as part of the "Multifunctionality Payment Project," the town received subsidies to plant sunflowers.

"Our Village is Beautiful" Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award In 1983, the village received the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Award for "Our Village is Beautiful."
