Due to a change in standards set by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (from analog radio waves to digital radio waves), analog equipment will no longer be usable from December 1, 2022, so Hokuryu Town will carry out the digitalization work for its disaster prevention administrative radio one year early.

New disaster prevention administrative radio receivers for individual households will be installed

As a result, the individual disaster prevention administrative radio receivers currently installed in each household will no longer be usable at the end of March 2021, so at the end of September, we will be mailing an "Application for Individual Receiver (Loan/Installation)" to households registered in Hokuryu Town's basic resident register.

The deadline for submitting an application for a home receiver (rental/installation) is Friday, October 30th.

If you have not yet submitted your application, please submit it to the General Affairs Division, General Affairs Section (Disaster Prevention Section) by Friday, October 30, 2020.

In addition, we will lend them free of charge to businesses that have an address within the town. If you would like to borrow one, please apply to the General Affairs Division, General Affairs Section (Disaster Prevention Section).

Installation began in January 2021

For households and businesses that have applied, new household receivers will be installed and the current household receivers will be collected, scheduled to begin in January 2021. In addition, depending on the area, it may be necessary to install an outdoor receiving antenna, so we ask for your cooperation.

Construction schedules vary by region, so the installer will contact you in advance to inform you of the work schedule.

Rental and installation of individual receivers is free of charge

Rental and installation of individual receivers is free of charge. In addition, the town will cover the basic costs of antenna installation work, so contractors who visit you will not ask for money or transfers.
