While I was cutting bamboo with the spray still on, it accidentally went off on my lower back. →See stain. It was a small amount, but the ingredients in the bear spray (chili pepper) made my throat hurt, and my skin was unbearably hot and painful! Fortunately, I was able to quickly rinse it off with water and cool it with an ice pack, so the pain was unbearable. If I had left it, the area would have been burned... The effectiveness of bear spray is not just for show. Even a brown bear will never come near me again if it gets in their nose or eyes.
