After the fire drill, the venue was moved to the large hall on the second floor of Hokuryu Town Community Center, where a social gathering was held.

"Thank you for your hard work at the Hokuryu Firefighting Exercise.
I would like to express my heartfelt congratulations to all the members of the fire brigade for their excellent performance, demonstrating the results of their training despite their busy schedules and full-time jobs. The traditional high quality of the training, especially in discipline training and pump operation, was once again on display.
This year, new search training was also added, and we were able to once again feel the strong passion that all the members have for their training.
Thanks to your hard work in daily training and activities, the townspeople are able to live in safety and security, so we look forward to all of your members continuing to train in the future.
I would also like to thank all of our distinguished guests for attending today.
After this, we will have a small social gathering, and we hope you will deepen your friendship as much as time allows.

"Although bad weather reminiscent of the Ezo rainy season continued, the weather suddenly changed to perfect conditions for drills, and I am pleased that the 2024 fire drill concluded with high morale.
This year, we were also shown a piece of modern equipment called a drone. As you mentioned, we hope that it will demonstrate its amazing capabilities.
The international situation remains abnormal, with severe floods, severe droughts, and extremely strong winds in many places.
It's still June in Hokkaido. July, August, September, and October are still to come. We don't know what form natural disasters will take.
I know that all of the members of the group have a very difficult time, but I hope that you will continue to work hard and make sure you are well-educated about disasters.
Even with modern equipment, the foundation of firefighting is people. I am extremely grateful and encouraged that there are so many young people today who are committed to protecting Hokuryu Town.
I would like to take this opportunity to propose a toast to the hope that Hokuryu Town will remain fire- and disaster-free, and to the good health of all those in attendance.
