The Tourism Association and the Taisei Association say it is the most majestic waterfall in the surrounding area.
We are currently recruiting participants for an expedition to explore Sandan Falls, located upstream of the Edaibetsu River, as follows:
- due date:July 15th (Sunday)
Day trip (July 23rd if it rains) - route
Course A: Round trip to Sandan Falls
Course B: Sandan-no-Taki Falls ~ Uryu Swamp / Minami-Shokanso - Scheduled time
Course ADeparture from the Government Office at 7:00 AM - Enter the mountain trail at 8:00 AM - Arrive at Sandannotaki Falls at 11:30 AM - Departure from Sandannotaki Falls at 12:30 PM - Arrive at the trailhead at 4:00 PM - Arrive in front of the Government Office at 4:30 PM
Course B: Same as Course A until you reach Sandan-no-Taki waterfall.
The Amuryu Numa journey begins at 2pm, ends at Minami-Shukanso at 4pm, and ends in front of the government building at around 6pm. - Participation fee
Course A: Free
B course: 300 yen - Application: Sports Association Secretariat (within the Agricultural Mutual Aid Association)
- Other: Participants must be high school students or older. 100 people will be accepted. Applications will be closed once capacity is reached.
