On page 6 of the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper's Hokkaido edition (morning edition, August 19, 2020), in the Wednesday discussion section entitled "What are the effects of the revision of the Seed and Seedlings Act?", Ryoji Kikura (former chairman of Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative), a resident of Hokuryu Town, wrote an opinion entitled "Food safety cannot be guaranteed."
