The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital website, operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper (Sapporo), has published an article (dated February 22nd) entitled "Fukagawa's Okimoto reaches the pinnacle of his dreams: 'It feels like I'm in a dream' - Winning the Northern Manga Award," so we would like to introduce it to you.

The article states, "Hirasol Romantica, a manga set in Himawari no Sato in Hokuryu Town, drawn by Maka Okimoto (real name, gender undisclosed), a resident of Fukagawa City who uses the pen name Okimoto Maka (real name, gender undisclosed), has won the Governor's Award, the highest award in the manga category of the 8th Northern Manga Awards (sponsored by the Hokkaido government and Sapporo city)."
