The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital website, operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun newspaper (Sapporo), has published an article (dated February 13th) entitled "Kita Sorachi's Genki Mura Dream Rural School sees 574 participants, more than three times the number from last year," so we would like to introduce it to you.

The article states, "The Rural School was established in 2002 and has a total of 21 members, including farmers and ordinary households from Fukagawa City, Imobeushi Town, Numata Town, and Hokuryu Town. With the motto, 'Encounters are the seeds of life,' the school mainly accepts students on school trips, and this year it won the Excellence Award at the 11th competition of the Development Bureau's 'Our Village is Beautiful - Hokkaido' campaign."
