View this post on Instagram # Ezo deer I encountered one at the entrance to the mountain. It was right outside the electric fence protecting the rice paddies. There were footprints, but this was the first time I'd seen one. If they multiply too much, they will eat the new shoots and sprouts and prevent the forest from regenerating... Judging from the number of footprints, it seems that this is the only one on my mountain at the moment, so I'll be getting along with it as a casual neighbor. # Pique pattern # Forestry # Small forestry # Hokkaido # Hokuryu Town # Forest # Forest # Hokkaido timber # Firewood # Nursery logs # Hokkaido forestry # Self-logging forestry # Sustainable living # Living with nature # Satoyama management # Country living # Forestry for living with nature # Under nature under natureA post shared by (@shizenka2020) – Aug 3, 2020, 3:55 AM PDT
