On Wednesday, February 15th, Hokuryu Town's "First Press Sunflower Oil (Hokuryu Promotion Corporation)" was selected for the "Northern High-Grade Foods 2023," which selects the top runners of Hokkaido foods. Mayor Yutaka Sano of Hokuryu Town was also present at the awards ceremony to receive the award.

This time, 22 products were selected from across Hokkaido, bringing the total number of selected products in the "Northern High-Grade Foods" program, which began in 2011, to over 200.
