We are pleased to introduce a collection of essays by Toshinori Shirasa, a native of Hekisui, Hokuryu Town, which has been published on the website of the coterie magazine "Zuihitsu Shunju." Mr. Shirasa's pen name is Hekisui Iina.
According to Shirasa, "It's still a long way off, but I hope to eventually include fairy tales, children's literature, and novels that touch on Hokuryu melons and sunflowers, as well as Japanese place names, works related to Hokuryu's Hokutosei and Kato Aio, and turn this into a page that brings together my major works."
Zuihitsu Shunju is a fanzine that was first published in 1993. It sponsors the Zuihitsu Shunju Prize, a literary award open to the public. The prize is for essays.Source: Wikipedia】
