The NHK website has an article titled "Fujimaru's Memories: A Scarf from Half a Century Ago," which includes an interview with Mie Kiritani (86), a native of Hokuryu Town, so we would like to introduce it to you.
Fujimaru is the only department store in eastern Hokkaido, founded in 1900. With declining sales and the COVID-19 pandemic adding to the damage, the store is scheduled to close at the end of January 2023. Kiritani shares his memories of Fujimaru.
