The Yomiuri Center (YC) Ito (Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture, President Wataru Hatazawa) and the Yomiuri Shimbun Tokyo Headquarters donated the Yomiuri KODOMO Newspaper and the Yomiuri Junior and Senior High School Newspaper to all elementary and junior high school students in Ito City.

Wataru Hatazawa, president of Yomiuri Center (YC) Ito, is from Hokuryu Town, Hokkaido.

In addition, this year a total of approximately 5,500 sunflower seeds will be donated to elementary, junior high, and high schools, kindergartens, and daycare centers in the city.
