☆Introduction to the stone monument inscribed with a haiku inscription at "Yew Forest" in Hokuryu Town
✣ "I can't even see your head as you dig through the snow and the soil" by Koji Nakamura
・A generation ago, in snowy regions, digging snow was a daily chore and was done with just a shovel. Snow taller than a person's height was dug up, and black soil was kicked up, but not even the head of the person digging was visible. (This work captures the image of people living a tough life in the harsh climate of the northern country.)
☆ Nakamura Koujin (Nakamura Toshihiro) from Hokuryu Town. This work was created when he was 26 years old (born January 7, 1931).
