The cover photo for the new book "Running the Globe: From the Frontlines of Leprosy Around the World" written by Yohei Sasakawa, Chairman of the Nippon Foundation, features "Ukrainian Sunflowers." The landscape reminiscent of the Hokuryu Town Sunflower Village was chosen for the cover of the book, so we would like to introduce it to you.

This book is a record of Chairman Yohei Sasakawa's activities over 40 years, 70 countries, and 552 visits (3,399 days) to eradicate leprosy and eliminate discrimination against people affected by it. He apparently chose "Sunflowers" as the cover photo without hesitation from among the candidates.
