The article states the following:<\/p>\n

Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki of Hokuryu Town, who chaired the funeral committee for Huang, offered his condolences, saying, "Your consistently clear judgment, outstanding insight and leadership, and strong sense of responsibility were greatly admired by the townspeople."<\/p>\n

Kiyomasa Iwata, chairman of the Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative, praised Mr. Okura's achievements, saying, "Mr. Okura's noble life was dedicated to agriculture that nurtures life and to the development of the region."<\/p>\n

According to the town, approximately 400 people attended the wake on the 1st.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We would like to share with you an article (dated April 29th) titled "Ryoji Okura Dies at 86, Former Chairman of Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative" published on the Hokkaido Shimbun Digital website, operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun Co., Ltd. (Sapporo City).
\nI offer my deepest condolences.<\/p>\n

The article states the following:<\/p>\n

Ryoji Okura, former chairman of Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative, passed away on the 27th at the age of 86. He was from Hokuryu Town, and his home was in Hokuryu Town. The wake will be held on May 1st at 7 p.m., and the funeral on May 2nd at 10 a.m., both at the Hokuryu Town Community Center, 10-1 Wa, Hokuryu Town. The funeral committee chairman is Hokuryu Town Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki. The chief mourner is his wife, Masako.<\/p>\n

In 1991, he became the chairman of the Hokuryu Town Agricultural Cooperative. Following the merger of agricultural cooperatives in 2000, he became the managing director of the Kitasorachi Agricultural Cooperative, and served as its chairman from 2002 to 2007. He contributed to the spread of clean agriculture by starting natural farming methods that do not use any herbicides, chemical fertilizers, or pesticides for pest control. He also contributed to improving the reputation of the region through organic and reduced-pesticide farming. In 2022, he was made an honorary citizen of the town.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
