Friday, July 4, 2025<\/p>\n

A social gathering following the 2025 Hokuryu Fire Drill was held on Friday, June 27th from 5pm in the large hall on the second floor of the Hokuryu Town Community Center. Chairman of the Union Supporters' Association, Mr. Joji, and other guests offered words of gratitude and appreciation to the fire brigade members who work hard at their daily training. In a harmonious atmosphere, participants deepened their friendships over delicious food and concluded the event by praying for the town to be fire- and disaster-free and for the health of the fire brigade members. It was a heartwarming moment that conveyed deep gratitude to the fire brigade.<\/div>\n

"Thank you to the members of the Hokuryu Fire Department for your hard work in the fire drill. I am truly pleased that you were able to fully demonstrate the results of your practice despite being busy with your day jobs and that you were able to complete the drill with such excellent results.
\nThe traditional high quality was still alive and well today, especially in discipline training and pump operation, and I was able to once again sense the strong passion that all the members have for their training.<\/p>\n

We would like to express our gratitude for the fact that thanks to your daily training and efforts, the townspeople are able to live in safety and security.
\nWe look forward to all members continuing to train hard in the future.<\/p>\n

We are also hopeful that starting this year, the Fukagawa District Fire Department will be able to respond to disasters more quickly by centralizing 119 emergency call reception.<\/p>\n

I would also like to thank all of our distinguished guests for attending today.
\nAfter this, we will have a small social gathering. Please take the time to deepen your friendships as much as possible.<\/p>\n

In closing, I hope that this year will be free of fires and disasters, and I pray for the continued growth of Hokuryu Fire Department and the good health of everyone in attendance. ``Thank you very much for your hard work today!'' said Chairman Joji.<\/p>\n

"I am pleased that the Hokuryu Firefighting Exercise for 2025 was successfully completed on a beautiful sunny day perfect for practice.<\/p>\n

As Chairman Nakamura mentioned in his opening remarks earlier, I had wondered why the number of teams had been reduced from four to three, but after hearing Chairman Nakamura's opening remarks I understood.<\/p>\n

It was clear that the town was struggling with various trial and error efforts as the times changed.<\/p>\n

In order to welcome a new era, I would like you to work hard to create a new system for the fire brigade.<\/p>\n

However, I hope that the fire brigade's spirit of "doing our best for the community" will not be forgotten and will continue to be passed on.<\/p>\n

Thank you very much for your cooperation.<\/p>\n

This year, there have been forest fires since spring, and abnormally high temperatures have continued even into June.
\nI'm also worried about how many typhoons there will be.<\/p>\n

We apologize for the hardship this will cause to our members, but we ask that you please take care of your health and protect this town.<\/p>\n

I would like to propose a toast to the good health of all the members and all those in attendance, hoping that this exercise will be an opportunity for Hokuryu Town to be fire- and disaster-free.<\/p>\n
