We were given dried and ground corn from Hokuryu Town (grown on Takada Koki's farm), so we immediately tried making cakes and cookies!!! (The dried corn was crushed in a grinder owned by the Kurosengoku Business Cooperative Association.)<\/p>\n

There are two types of cornmeal: one ground for cooking and one for tea. The one on the left is for cooking, and the one on the right is for tea.<\/p>\n

Cakes & Cookies<\/h3>\n

There are many different dishes you can try, but let's start with cakes and cookies!<\/p>\n

For the cake, use corn flour and rice flour, mix with coconut oil, coconut sugar, honey, soy milk, baking powder and baking soda, and bake in an oven at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.<\/p>\n

For the cookies, mix corn flour and rice flour with maple syrup and baking powder, roll them into balls, and leave them in the refrigerator for about an hour to harden. Bake in a 180\u00b0C oven for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n

Try making corn jelly too!<\/p>\n

Blend the boiled corn kernels, strain them, mix in the gelatin, and boil for 1-2 minutes. Cool and set in the refrigerator. Finish by topping with maple syrup and corn!<\/p>\n

To make corn tea, put it in a tea bag and boil it to make tea!<\/p>\n
