- When arriving at school:<\/strong>Supporters will be standing at three locations in the town, including crosswalks, to watch over the children.<\/li>\n
- Shift system:<\/strong>The monitoring activities are carried out on a shift basis, with staff on duty three to four times a year.
\nThey take turns watching over the children for one hour each week during school hours (weekdays only). No long school holidays.<\/li>\n- Other Activities:<\/strong>Some members patrol the streets with stickers on their cars to keep an eye on the roads.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Mayor Yasuhiro Sasaki has been participating as a watch supporter since the project began (while he was serving as chairman of the Hokuryu Town Council), and continues to do so even now that he is mayor.<\/p>\n
