The Hokkaido Shimbun Digital website, operated by the Hokkaido Shimbun Press (Sapporo), has published an article (dated May 29th) entitled "Homeownership allowances provided by 18 cities and towns in the Sorachi region to promote settlement and secure human resources." We would like to introduce this article to you.<\/p>\n

The article states, "Last year, Hokuryu Town also paid 11,000 yen per month to about 10% of its full-time employees. If they built a new house or purchased a home, the amount increases to 12,000 yen for five years only. The town's general affairs department states that 'the allowance is necessary from the perspective of ensuring permanent residence.'"<\/p>\n
