The 2nd Hokuryu Kendama Club Hekisui Police Station Cup was held on Tuesday, April 2nd from 6pm at the Hokuryu Town Community Center Large Hall (2nd floor).<\/p>\n

Approximately 30 people, including children and families of club members, participated, showing off the results of their daily practice and enjoying the game to the fullest, each displaying their impressive skills.<\/p>\n

"Today is the 2nd Hekisui Police Station Cup. Unfortunately, Sergeant Yuki Hoshino of the Hekisui Police Station of the Fukagawa Police Department has caught the flu and will be unable to attend.<\/p>\n

I have a message from Mr. Hoshino, so I will read it out for you.<\/p>\n

"Good evening everyone! This is Hoshino from the Hekisui Police Station. Thank you for coming to the 2nd Hekisui Police Station Cup today. I had hoped to speak about traffic safety in front of you all and compete with you, but unfortunately I have come down with the flu.<\/p>\n

The message was, "As the snow melts, you will likely be riding your bike more often, so please wear a helmet properly and be careful not to get injured."<\/p>\n

Hoshino has left us some gifts, such as handkerchiefs, flyers, and stickers, which we will distribute to everyone.<\/p>\n

Handheld Lighthouse Championship<\/h3>\n

This is a competition where players place a "ken" (sword) on top of a "ball." Participants compete for the fastest time to clear all three balls placed on three rows of desks. The colors of the kendama are "red," "yellow," and "blue," which are reminiscent of traffic lights.<\/p>\n

Trick Battle<\/h3>\n

This is a competition in which participants attempt and complete seven types of techniques with set points within a set time (4 minutes), and if they can do so, points are added up. The ranking is determined by the total number of points. Techniques are self-reported. The more difficult the technique, the higher the score.<\/p>\n

You can try the same technique up to three times, and if the points are tied, the player who cleared it in the shortest time will win. If you succeed in all of your chosen techniques once, you will get 20 points!<\/p>\n
