After the 2023 Wa Neighborhood Association Senior Citizens Club Training (lecture), a social gathering was held at the banquet hall (1st floor) of Sunflower Park Kitaryu Onsen from 6:00 p.m.<\/p>\n

The social gathering was led by the humorous host, Noriaki Nakajima, Secretary General of the Wa Neighborhood Association Senior Citizens Club.<\/p>\n

"Thank you for gathering here today.<\/p>\n

This time, I was finally able to visit the Numata Town Kita Sorachi Regional Waterworks Corporation, which I had been hoping to do for several years. I believe that it is thanks to the Corporation that we can drink tap water straight from the tap.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Mr. and Mrs. Terauchi for their lecture entitled "How Wonderful Hokuryu Town is." It is truly amazing that they are spreading the wonderfulness of Hokuryu Town to the world. "How Wonderful Hokuryu Town is" and "How Wonderful the Terauchis are." I listened to their lecture with deep emotion, with these thoughts in mind.<\/p>\n

We are proud to have such a person in our Wa Neighborhood Association. We look forward to your continued support.<\/p>\n

The town's harvest festival is over, and the harvest of home-grown vegetables is over, so I'm sure everyone is feeling relieved. The mountains are turning white in the heat and cold. Winter is fast approaching.<\/p>\n

Today, I hope that we can all have a fun time together, catching up on our daily lives and complaining to each other. Thank you very much."<\/p>\n

\n"Today I visited the Numata Wide-Area Water Supply System, and thanks to all those involved in the construction of the Numata Dam, we are still benefiting from that water supply today.<\/p>\n

Mr. Terauchi has also been promoting Hokuryu Town not only in Japan but also overseas. As a result, we have received large donations through our hometown tax system. We are extremely grateful for Mr. Terauchi's hard work.<\/p>\n

At the start of his speech, Yasuhiro Sasaki (Chairman of the Hokuryu Town Council) visited the seat of Katsuyo Ujiie, the oldest member at 91 years old, and said to her, "You are the oldest and youngest members of the senior citizens' club, so let's do this together!"<\/p>\n

Everyone applauded loudly!!! They cheered loudly, saying "Go for it!" Both of them came forward to greet the audience.<\/p>\n

Although looking shy, Katsuyo Ujiie straightened her back and greeted the audience with confidence, saying, "Thank you all for letting me have fun with you today. I hope you all continue to get younger and younger, stay healthy, and stay cheerful even when you're over 90 like me!"<\/p>\n

"What a wonderful greeting!" the audience applauded.<\/p>\n

Sasaki-san: "It just doesn't seem possible. I hope we can all meet again next year at another fun social gathering like this. Let's have a toast together! Cheers everyone!!!"<\/p>\n

After the banquet, those heading home were seen off on a hot spring bus, while those staying overnight headed to the karaoke room and enjoyed the long autumn nights to their heart's content.<\/p>\n
