In the fields to the west of the Itaya Public Housing complex, sunflowers are in full bloom, "praying for peace, blooming beautifully and powerfully towards the midsummer sun!"<\/p>\n

The words written in black letters on the yellow sign read, "Sunflowers bloom beautifully and powerfully facing the midsummer sun," and are the words of Akira Tanimoto, a resident of Hokuryu Town.<\/p>\n

Ryoji Kikura, a resident of Itaya public housing, commissioned a sign shop in Fukagawa City to install the sign.<\/p>\n

Carefully cultivated by Ryoji Kikura, the trees are in full bloom<\/h3>\n

These are precious sunflowers that Ryoji Kikura has carefully and lovingly nurtured with his "prayer for peace" and deep love.<\/p>\n

Residents of the public housing say, "The lovely sunflowers that we can see from our balconies give us energy and comfort every day."<\/p>\n
