Recently, Keiko Ozaki (Hokuryu Town Council Member) and Director of the NPO Akarui Nouhou (Bright Farming Methods) has handcrafted masks featuring the Hokuryu Town logo, a gingham check pattern (designed by Makoto Umehara).<\/p>\n

A few years ago, Ozaki received instruction on how to make masks from Tsukigata Town Council member Yumiko Miyashita, and has now created masks as a preventative measure against COVID-19. They have been worn by Mayor Yutaka Sano, Hokuryu Town Council Chairman Yasuhiro Sasaki, and Deputy Mayor Toshimasa Takahashi.<\/p>\n

At the first regular assembly session of 2020, Mayor Sano, Chairman Sasaki, Council Member Ozaki, and Deputy Mayor Takahashi attended the assembly wearing handmade gingham check masks.<\/p>\n

Wearing masks with the Hokuryu Town logo mark, a gingham check pattern, they encouraged each other to work hard to build a town that can withstand the coronavirus.<\/p>\n
