This year, the harvest took place about a week earlier than last year.<\/p>\n<p>At the Furusaku Rice Center, two farmers, Yasunori Watanabe and Mamoru Hoshiba, cultivate over three hectares of sake rice.<\/p>\n<p>In the bustling rice fields, four combine harvesters are working at full capacity in a serious competition! The sake rice harvesting work will be completed in one day today.<\/p>\n<p>Sake rice is dried more slowly than regular rice, so after harvesting it is dried for about a day and a half in the dryer at the rice center.
