Message from the Chairman<\/h3>\n

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the townspeople for your continued understanding, cooperation, and support in the management and business activities of the Social Welfare Council.<\/p>\n

At the Hokuryu Town Social Welfare Council Board of Trustees meeting held on June 25, 2021 (written resolution), a board election was held, and I was elected as the new chairman, succeeding the previous chairman, Hitoshi Takebayashi. Despite my limited knowledge and talent, I am not worthy of the position, but with your cooperation, I intend to fulfill my responsibilities to the best of my ability.<\/p>\n

Since last year, the spread of COVID-19 has had a major impact on society as a whole, not only in Japan but around the world, on our daily lives, work, town events, and more. Vaccinations began in Hokuryu Town in May, but it is still unclear when the COVID-19 pandemic will be over.<\/p>\n

For this reason, the Social Welfare Council will continue to implement measures to prevent the spread of infection in its various projects and operations while promoting its daily activities.<\/p>\n

As the population ages, the role of the Social Welfare Council is becoming increasingly important, and I would like to ask for the guidance and encouragement of all townspeople so that we can inherit the achievements and foundations that have been cultivated so far and work together with related organizations and council officials to overcome this difficult situation.<\/p>\n

In this day and age, it is necessary to create towns where elderly people, people with disabilities, and others who require support and care can live safely in the areas they are familiar with.
